Air Fried Steak & Veg Bowls

Air Fried Steak & Veg Bowls are a quick, wholesome way to enjoy bold flavour and balanced nutrition in one dish. Juicy, perfectly cooked steak meets crisp, golden veggies – all made effortlessly in the air fryer. Packed with protein and vibrant goodness, this bowl is proof that healthy eating doesn’t have to mean compromising on taste.
What you will need
- FOR CUCUMBER SALSA
- FOR THE VEGETABLES
- 4 Mini snacking cucumbers
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, skin on & cleaned, diced into small chunks
- 1 Tbsp Italian parsley, roughly chopped
- 1 Tbsp coriander, roughly chopped
- 1 small red onion, chopped into large chunks
- 2 spring onions, sliced
- 2 Tsps Olive oil
- Juice of 1 large lime
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 Tsp honey
- 4 baby marrows, sliced thickly
- Natural Steak & Chops
- 200g mixed broccoli & cauliflower florets
- To taste, Natural Steak & Chops
- FOR THE STEAK
- 2 X 200G Ribeye steaks/ steaks of choice
- Olive oil for cooking
- To taste, Natural Steak & Chops
- Lime wedges, for serving
Method
For the cucumber salsa:
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Season with Natural Herbs & Spices Steak & Chops Grinder.
Mix well and set aside in the fridge until serving.
For the vegetables:
Preheat air fryer to 200˚C.
Combine sweet potatoes and onion in a bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil and season with Natural Herbs & Spices Steak & Chops Grinder.
Toss to coat well.
Transfer to hot air fryer and cook for 10-12 minutes until tender and lightly charred.
Give them a good shake half way through the cooking process for even browning.
Just before the sweet potato is cooked, combine the rest of the vegetables in the same bowl.
Season again with a little olive oil and Natural Herbs & Spices Steak & Chops Grinder.
Remove cooked sweet potatoes and onion and set aside.
Add the rest of the vegetables to the air fryer and cook for 8-10 minutes until tender and lightly charred.
Top tip:
When preparing vegetables for the air fryer keep in mind their various sizes and cook times. Slice a large floret of broccoli in half if necessary, slice courgettes nice and chunky etc. Prep vegetables like sweet potatoes which take longer to cook into small cubes vs cherry tomatoes which you can leave whole.
For the steak:
Preheat air fryer to 200˚C.
Once preheated, let it run for an extra 5 minutes to make sure it is nice and hot.
Dry the steaks well with paper towel.
Drizzle with olive oil and then season generously with Natural Herbs & Spices Steak & Chops Grinder.
Rub oil and seasoning into the steaks.
Speedily transfer the steaks into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Make sure there is room around them for the hot air to circulate.
Depending on their weight and thickness, air fry for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steak.
Aim to remove steak at 52˚C for medium-rare.
If you select a steak on the bone - cook for a little longer to reach desired temperature.
Remove the steaks from the air fryer and place on a chopping board.
Rest for 5 minutes.
To assemble:
Divide vegetables into two bowls.
Slice steak and plate on top of the veg.
Finish with a few spoonfuls of cucumber salsa.
Serve with lime wedges and enjoy!
