Do you love burgers, but not the calories that come with them? The simplest solution would be to stop eating burgers. But before you do, we have created a mouthwatering alternative to the traditional burger and fries. Stacked with tons of flavor and yumminess, combined with crispy golden sweet potatoes fries, OH MY we have a winner. This burger can be custom-made to suit your personal cravings.
Share with friends and family and watch their delight.
Start off by preheating the oven to 230°C and lightly grease a large baking tray. Then, cut the sweet potatoes into thick chips. Arrange them on the prepared baking tray in a single layer, drizzle with olive oil and generously season with the Naturals Salt and Pepper Seasoning. Bake those for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and look lightly coloured.
Meanwhile, in a non-stick pan over medium heat add in olive, onions and generously season with the Natural salt and pepper seasoning. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the onions are golden and caramelized. Remember to stir the onions occasionally so they cook and colour evenly.
Now its time to prepare the “bun”, so start this by placing a large pan on high heat. Following that, clean the mushrooms by scraping out the gills and cutting off the stems. Drizzle the mushrooms with olive oil and grind over with the Naturals Country Herbs Seasoning. Transfer the mushrooms to the heated pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. At this point your fries, caramelized onions and mushroom buns should be ready. Set them aside whilst you prepare the chicken.
To do this, lightly pound each chicken breast, drizzle with olive oil and season with Naturals Chicken Seasoning. In the same pan you cooked the mushrooms, fry the chicken until cooked through, crisp and golden brown on each side.
Time to assemble these juicy burgers, place one mushroom cap facing up on a plate, spread on tomato sauce or any sauce you desire. Top with lettuce, chicken, tomato and caramelized onions. Then finish with a second mushroom cap to create the bun. Completely optional - sprinkle sesame seeds on top to complete the look. Go ahead and complete this process for each burger and serve with the crispy sweet potato fries.
