Natural Herbs & Spices BBQ Chicken Kebabs & Grilled Corn Salad

If you enjoy kebabs, you will absolutely love our BBQ chicken kebabs & grilled corn salad. Don't believe us, try it for yourself !

What you will need

  • FOR THE CHICKEN
  • ±800g chicken thighs
  • 1 cup Greek-style yoghurt
  • Zest & juice of 2 limes
  • 1-2 tsp Natural Herbs & Spices Garlic Flakes
  • 1 Tbsp Natural Herbs & Spices BBQ Grill
  • FOR THE SALAD
  • FOR THE SALAD
  • 4 ears of corn / corn on the cob
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1-2 tsp Natural Herbs & Spices Garlic Flakes
  • 1-2 tsp Natural Herbs & Spices BBQ Grill
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • ½ cup fresh coriander leaves
  • ½ red onion, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Special equipment: Kebab sticks, soaked in water

Method

Start off by preparing your braai.

For the salad:

Drizzle corn with olive oil. Season it generously with Natural Herbs & Spices BBQ Grill Seasoning and Garlic Flakes.

Rub the seasoning in well and braai the corn until its lightly charred and cooked through.

When it's cool enough to handle, cut the corn off the cob and place in a bowl. Add the jalapeño, mint, coriander, red onion and lime juice. Toss and top off with avocado.

For the chicken:

In a large bowl combine the chicken thighs with the lime juice, zest, yoghurt, Natural Herbs & Spices BBQ Grill Seasoning and Garlic Flakes. Mix it well and set aside to marinate for 30 min - 1 hour.

Thread the chicken onto 4 large kebab sticks.

Then, place it on the braai and braai it until its lightly charred all round and cooked through.

Serve kebabs alongside the corn salad with chunky lime wedges.
