What you will need

  • 2kg gammon, cooked.
  • FOR THE GLAZE
  • FOR THE GREEN BEANS
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 400g trimmed green beans
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter or Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Natural Herbs and Spices Ground Ginger Refill
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Natural Herb and Spices Gourmet Pepper Mix
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method

FOR THE GLAZE:

To bake: Preheat the oven to 165° C . Line a shallow roasting pan with foil.
Place the ham in the pan cut-side down. Using a paring knife, score the ham's fat in a diamond-shaped pattern, taking care not to cut into the meat.
Then, in a small saucepan, combine the glaze ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and set aside.
Add 1/2 cup of water to the roasting pan with the ham in it. Cover the pan with foil and tightly crimp it at the edges. Bake or grill over indirect heat for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and generously baste the ham with the glaze. Resume baking or grilling. Baste with more glaze every 10 minutes until the ham has reached an internal temperature of 60°C (approximately 30 minutes).

Allow the ham to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.

FOR THE GREEN BEANS:

Place green beans in a large skillet; pour in 1/4 cup water and bring to a boil over high heat. As soon as water comes to a boil, cover pan and cook 3 minutes. Then uncover pan and stir in butter. Cook for 1 minute or until water evaporates and beans are crisp-tender.

Sprinkle the beans with Natural Herbs and Spices Salt and Pepper and Enjoy!!!
